- Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute – Anna Business Incubation Research Foundation(EDII – ABIRF) is a section 8 company located at the University College of Engineering, BIT Campus, Anna University, Tiruchirapalli, and supported by the Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute.
- Anna Business Incubation Research Foundation is a facility to incubate technological ideas or innovations to enable startups to succeed in the marketplace.
- We believe that there are gaps in the innovation-entrepreneurship-investment ecosystem, which has vetoed full utilization of the R&D work. ABIRF will facilitate the development of an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the organization.

The host institution University College of Engineering, BIT Campus, Anna University, Tiruchirappalli 620 024 has allotted total area of 6000 sq. ft. (G+1) with facilities for the operation of EDII-ABIRF, laboratory for new product research & development and Co-working spaces for incubated startup companies.

INTENTION OF EDII - ABIRF
- The intention of ABIRF is to promote and nurturing of entrepreneurship through innovation by providing startups with all required networking, infrastructure to create, technology support to realize, mentors to guide, investors, marketing strategies, etc.
- ABIRF will help young firms to survive by providing them specialized support services during the critical period of a business venture i.e. the startup phase.
- ABIRF will also bring more industries into the system and provides a connection to make a common single point of networking ecosystem for realizing new ideas, innovations, and technologies through Intellectual Property protection, creating technological infrastructure, advisors, mentors, funding, and support services networking, etc.
